Postnatal depression, also known as postpartum depression, can leave a new Mum feeling depressed, anxious, worthless or overwhelmed. They may have feelings of dread, thoughts of suicide or poor bonding with their baby. A horrific condition, a previous history of depression can be a contributing factor, as can having low self-esteem, money worries, having limited support or being young.
