A dream is simply a goal without a plan. You could actually turn your dreams to reality if you use the right tactic. Before you can use any tactics, you need to know exactly what you want.

So, here’s a simple 3 step process to help you understand how to set effective goals. This will give you a better sense of what you are trying to attract.
Setting goals with the Law Of Attraction in mind
Goal setting is incredibly important to the Law of Attraction. Your goals should align your energies with your desires and help you to gain the focus that you are otherwise lacking.
There are three steps you should follow:
1. Figure out what you truly want
The first thing you need to do to make a goal effective is to make it specific. But before you can make it specific, you need to know exactly what you want.
You need to take the time to connect with your authentic desires. What you truly want in your heart of hearts. Discovering this takes careful reflection and bravery. Sometimes your true desires will be hidden due to fear of failure.
Ask yourself ‘If I could have anything in the world, what would it be?’ Even if it seems outrageous and farfetched, don’t discard it. Instead, picture it. Imagine what your dream life looks like and let yourself believe you can have it.
Stamp out the negativity and let the positivity shine through. This will help you build the reserves of energy needed to achieve your goal.
2. Fine tune the goal
Next you need to fine tune that dream into an actual goal. Firstly, build a deeper image of what your goal looks like so that you can use that in your visualisation process. It shouldn’t just be a picture in your mind, but a sensory experience.
Think about smell, feel, touch, sound, taste and feeling.
You also need to create visual representations that strengthen your vision. You might choose to create a dream board of images that you hang somewhere prominent, or a box of special objects that prompt visualisation and reflection.
Secondly, you need to find the perfect words to commit your goal to writing. The wording is key as you can then use that to create affirmations and reminders that your goal is possible. Experiment with the wording, as the first thing you create might not necessarily resonate with you.
Avoid negative wording, instead turn any negative statements into a positive. ‘I need to leave my crappy job’ could become ‘I have an amazing, fulfilling career.’

3. Plan your reviews
Visualisation and affirmations are powerful tools to use every day. But if you review the progress of your goal every day you may become disheartened by lack of progress. Waiting too long to review can be equally detrimental to your mindset.
Settle for a timeframe that gives you enough time to achieve, but not so long that things get stale. Once a month can be a good review timeframe.
When you review, write down the concrete things you have achieved and brainstorm how you can make more progress next month.
Sometimes you won’t have made as much progress as you wanted to and that’s OK. Take the opportunity to investigate any negative blocks that could be holding you back. Maybe you are struggling with self confidence, or unrealistic expectations.
Tackle the negatives by flipping them into positives and by practising gratitude.
